Pressure Cooked Duck Legs

Cooking duck legs in a pressure cooker is a quick and easy way to make a delicious, rich meal. Normally, duck legs require a long and slow cooking process to unlock flavors. However, with a pressure cooker, the recipe can be significantly shortened.

Ingredients

  • 2 duck legs

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 cup of chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the pressure cooker on the sauté setting. Add the olive oil and allow it to heat up.

  2. Place the duck legs in the pressure cooker and sear them for about 2 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.

  3. Remove the duck legs from the pressure cooker and set them aside.

  4. Add the onion and garlic to the pressure cooker and sauté until they are translucent.

  5. Return the duck legs to the pressure cooker and add the chicken broth. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Secure the lid on the pressure cooker and set it to cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.

  7. Once the cooking time is up, allow the pressure cooker to release the pressure naturally for 10 minutes. Then, release any remaining pressure manually.

  8. Remove the duck legs from the pressure cooker and serve them with your favorite sides.
