Refrigerator Thawing: How to Defrost Duck in the Fridge

Thawing DUCKCHAR Moulard Duck Breast in your refrigerator is the best and easiest way.

Step 1 - Just place frozen DUCKCHAR Moulard Duck Breast in your fridge, leave it there overnight, and it will thaw by the next day. Thawing in the fridge keeps the meat cold and at a safe temperature.

Step 2 - Cook duck breast within 1 or 2 days of defrosting in the refrigerator.


Water Thawing: How to Defrost Duck Quickly

Forgot to throw DUCKCHAR Moulard Duck Breast in the fridge last night? No worries, you can quickly defrost duck with the water method.

Step 1 - Submerge DUCKCHAR Moulard Duck Breast in bowl filled with cold water. Do not remove the duck breast from its airtight vacuum seal.

Step 2 - Change the water with fresh cold water every 30 minutes until the duck breast is defrosted. This defrosting process may take a 1 to 2 hours. This same water thawing process can be used for a whole duck. For a whole duck to defrost, it may take 2 - 7 hours or even longer depending on its size.

Step 3 - Cook immediately after thawing duck breast.
