FAQ

When should I expect my delivery?

Your duck should arrive in 7 to 10 business days or less. It varies depending on the delivery destination. Additionally, we do not offer guaranteed delivery.

My order shipped but I won’t be home to receive it. What can I do?

If your order has already been picked up by FedEx, there is no way to adjust the delivery date. Do not contact FedEx. Shipments are packed with enough dry ice to ensure that your order is cold when it arrives on your doorstep. However, any delays in picking it up after delivery will likely lead to spoilage. We advise our customers to ask a neighbor or friend to retrieve the order and immediately place the contents in a refrigerator or freezer. If the order hasn’t shipped, please email howdy@duckchar.com. We are more than happy to delay to shipment until a time that suits you.

Where do you deliver?

We ship everywhere - except Alaska and Hawaii.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive an e-mail with tracking information.

How will my duck be shipped?

Your duck is shipped in a top notch, eco-friendly refrigerated box. The plastic insulation liner is made of recycled water bottles and is itself 100% recyclable. It's packed with plenty of dry ice to ensure it arrives cold on your doorstep. The duck is air chilled and then cryovac-sealed to lock in freshness, texture, and flavor.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO boxes or A.P.O. and F.P.O. address.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is always $19.99 for orders that include cold products. Shipping is $7.99 for duck fat and/or spice rub orders.

What’s the return/refund policy?

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or offer refunds. However, if you have an issue with your order please contact our customer service team at either howdy@duckchar.com or by phone at 314-325-4831 and we will work with you to make things right. If there is damage to your shipping box when it arrives, please take photo before opening it.

How do I handle damaged orders?

If product(s) are damaged upon receipt, you must notify as soon as its delivered. Document damage with photos and detailed descriptions. If the shipping box is damaged, take photos of the damage before opening it.

Do I need to be home to receive my shipment?

Nope. You don't have to sign for your duck. Once your duck is confirmed as delivered by a shipping carrier, it's your responsibility to retrieve it. Unpack your duck and put it in the freezer or fridge immediately.

Can I cancel my order?

Shipping perishable products requires complicated logistics and extra care. Thus, order cancellations will be handled on a case by case basis. Orders can not be canceled once a customer receives a shipping confirmation number.

Where are your ducks raised?

We source our ducks directly from farms in Canada and the US. Great products come from healthy ducks. The ducks’ welfare is the foundation of our partnerships with farmers. Together, we are committed to supporting responsible and sustainable farming practices. While we only offer duck breast products, our farmers value the entire duck from head to toe.
