Making The Right New Year's Resolutions

Make a 2017 New Year’s Resolution that counts. Something like, “try new things” is too vague. It might lead to selecting a goal too difficult to accomplish like winning Mr. Olympia or being a better person (jkjkjk). “Trying new things” means you start with a knowledge base of zero. That’s problematic because this starting point is usually not fun. Remember the first time you went snowboarding or your first piano lesson? For many of us, the first time was also the last time - because the first time, we sucked.

Instead, why not make resolutions to improve on things at which we’re already decent. If you’re a runner, maybe you should run your first marathon. If you enjoy cooking, perhaps you should try making new dishes. Don’t get ahead of yourself, though. If you’ve always wanted to master the art of French macarons, you may want to reconsider. That’s because your friends and family have likely tried macarons during trips to Paris and yours will at best be run of the mill compared to the ones they brought from the pros.

How do we trick our friends into thinking we’re amazing cooks?  By choosing easy-to-cook, AMAZING foods that friends and family have never tried. Go ahead and invite some friends over for a meal featuring DUCKCHAR Duck Breasts. Salt & pepper with a seared finish in a pan or on the grill, that’s it.

If you're skeptical, remember that DUCKCHAR Duck Breasts are nothing like the "other" duck you’ve tried in the past. Not convinced? Take a look around our site. If you’re too lazy to read about our product, just look at the photos. That should be enough. It’s a completely new and rich flavor in a steak-like package that will leave you wondering why it tastes so different but feels familiar all at the same time.

In short, if you want, you can have the best meal of your life, any night from the comfort of your home. Plus, you can lie to all of your friends and tell them that your New Year’s resolution was to become a better cook. When really you're not, you just started cooking duck. And it’s so easy that even you couldn’t mess it up.

Happy New Year!
