Where To Ski, What To Eat 2017

Seasons change. Winter’s here. And depending on location, it may be very cold. At DUCKCHAR we embrace ever-changing seasons to find positives in the cold. We’re partial to snow and are really excited about the ski season. This winter is shaping up to be an epic one in the mountains and we can’t wait to get out there. Our favorite place to ski is wherever the snow is. We travel to the Wasatch Range in Utah - either Alta or Snowbird or the Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. But even if skiing isn’t your thing - the mountains still have something for everyone.

Towns like Aspen and Vail, Colorado have an incredible nightlife and culinary scene. And eating right is huge part of recovering from a day on the mountain. Winter sports take a toll. In addition to all of the energy you expend moving in the snow, you have to do it all while trying to stay warm. It can wear you out fast and you burn a ton of calories. What better way to refuel after a long day in the mountains skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, or even shopping than a tasty meal at the end of the day. We suggest a homemade grilled or seared Moulard duck breasts. The perfect food for the winter skier, sledder or shopper.

Take care, bundle up, and find some happiness in the shorter days of winter.

Happy Holidays,

Team DUCKCHAR
